Rees-Dart Track (with Cascade Saddle)

Rees-Dart Track Rees-Dart Track is one of the best tracks in my experiences. It's not too hard but we can see excellent mountain scenery. I can recommend this track to almost everyone. If you consider that which walk Routeburn Track or Rees-Dart Track, Rees-Dart is better I think.

I went to Cascade Saddle from Dart hut as day walk. It took 3hr one-way and was worth visit.

On the way I took off from the route and went to the terminal of Dart glacier. Where I picked some pieces of ice and drank with whisky.

And there was a large glacier tunnel. I went through that. The surface is dirty lake a rock but the inside was very beautiful blue!

Both were good experience but you must remember that getting close a glacier terminal is very risky.
