Lake Waikaremoana Track(GW) | 3/4 around the lake. At the first day climb up to a ridge, another part is almost flat but some parts are muddy. | |||
Tongariro Northern Circuit(GW) | Dynamic ex-volcano zone like a rock- desert. I think the best tramping in NI. This is in the world heritage area. Hot Springs there. | |||
Abel Tasman Coast Track(GW) | Walk along Beautiful coastline like a pacific island. The most popular track in NZ. | |||
Travers-Sabine Circuit | Pleasant Alpine crossing, Angeles hut is worth visit and good location. Popular for intermediate trampers. | |||
Harper Pass Route | 80km long straight historic track, but not too heard. Hot Springs there. | |||
Otehake Hotsprings | 6hr walk from state highway 73. For experienced tramper only. | |||
Waimakariri-Harman Pass Route | For experienced tramper only, 2 alpine crossing and isolated valley. Hot Springs there. | |||
Three Pass Route | For experienced tramper only, 3 alpine crossing and perpetual snow, Histrical Walkway connection east coast and west coast South Island. | |||
Copland Track | This track is very famous for hot springs. Welcome flat hut 3 min from hot pools is roomy comfortable place. | |||
Rees-Dart Track | Quite changeable view, forest, glacier and grassy flat. One of most recommendable track for most of level trampers. | |||
Routeburn Track(GW) | Very famous track, it's required a booking. I thought this track is not special than others. | |||
Milford track(GW) | I think this region rain forest is the best. It's really fantastic. | |||
Keplar Track(GW) | It's accessible from Te Anau town by walking and completely circular track, so very convenient location. Pleasant alpine crossing is highlight of this track. | |||
Waitutu Track | There is the largest wooden viaduct in the world and we can walk on the viaduct. Most of track is along coastline so we can get a lot of shellfish including Paua(Abalone). | |||
Rakiura Track(GW) | I don't know why this is one of Great-Walks. Almost part is in forest but no characteristic. |
